Assoz. Prof. Mag. Dr. Regina Polak, MAS - in cooperation with the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Vienna and the ORF/Department of Religion.

Occasion
Critical reflection on the significance of religion with regard to social challenges and on the dialogue between religions and between religions and society.

Target groups
Representatives from Judaism, Christianity and Islam (especially from the university environment).

Objectives

  • Identify the intellectual and practical contribution of religions to current societal challenges.
  • To elicit solutions to societal problems.
  • Based on research on practical theology, the course has a research-generative function.

  • Vienna votes - what is the reason of equality?
  • Trialogue on evil
  • Religion and violence
  • Before us the deluge? Thoughts on the climate catastrophe

Duration
Ongoing since 2015; paused by Covid-19.

Activities
Twice a year, the Abrahamitic Dialogue event takes place as part of a guided panel discussion at the ORF RadioKulturhaus.
