Occasion
To make visible the possibilities and limits as well as the foundations of interreligious dialogue in a religiously and ideologically plural society from the perspective of different scientific disciplines.

Objectives
The objective of the lecture series is to provide insights into fundamental questions of this dialogue from an inter- and transdisciplinary perspective - e.g. from the perspective of religious studies, social science, educational science, historical studies, Islamic studies, Jewish studies and not least Christian theology, but also from the perspective of "lived religion" - and to explore the possibilities as well as the limits of such a dialogue.

Duration
The lecture series was held in the winter semester 2020 at the University of Vienna.

  • The student initiative "Café Abraham" - Jewish, Christian and Muslim students of the University of Vienna - offered a small accompanying program to the lecture series.
